Blythe was created in 1972 by designer Allison Katzman , but became popular 30 years at 1997, when tv and video producer Gina Garan was given Blythe doll by a friend and began using it to practice her photographic skills. She began taking her Blythe everywhere with her and took hundreds of photos. And have since then become really popular, Gina has publishing a book with Blythe Photografers, "This is Blythe" and there are several other Blythe related books out in the market .Takara of Japan has made a new version of the doll and its been bought by many adults as children. I think the doll is cute!
